Announcing Our Keynote Speaker
OAIRP Spring 2026 Virtual Conference

We are excited to announce that Dan Wilson, Assistant Vice President for Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics at Muskingum University, will serve as the Keynote Speaker for the OAIRP Spring 2026 Virtual Conference on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Many in the OAIRP community already know Dan as a longtime colleague and contributor to institutional research across Ohio. We are thrilled to welcome him to the keynote stage this spring.

Keynote Session

AI for People Who Don’t Have Time to Learn AI: A Practical Framework for Immediate Productivity in Institutional Research

Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the way data professionals work, yet most institutional research offices do not have the time or capacity to become AI experts overnight.

In this practical and approachable keynote, Dan will introduce the C.O.R.E. framework (Context, Objectives, Rules, Evidence)—designed specifically for IR professionals who want to begin using AI tools immediately and responsibly.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Produce more consistent outputs using personalization and structured prompting
  • Deploy basic AI agents using tools such as Copilot, Custom GPTs, and Gemini
  • Explore lightweight automation strategies that help reclaim analyst time for more strategic work

The session will also address important considerations around governance, FERPA boundaries, and responsible AI use, ensuring institutions can explore these tools thoughtfully and safely.
